Smart Radio – the all-round talent for more variety!

The name ‘Smart Radio’ says it all: in addition to analogue FM and digital DAB+ stations, this KENWOOD radio also receives countless internet radio stations from around the world and various podcasts. It can be integrated into your home network via Wi-Fi. The Smart Radio then also connects to the streaming platforms Deezer* and Spotify*. In addition, the CR-ST200S is also capable of playing Spotify Lossless Audio's lossless audio offering. This allows you to enjoy uncompressed audio files with up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz in excellent sound quality.

Large IPS colour display, intuitive operation

Easy-to-grip rotary controls and a small number of buttons, combined with a particularly large and highly legible IPS colour display, ensure intuitive operation. This means that channel logos, slide shows and operating menus are displayed with razor-sharp clarity. The left rotary knob is used to control the volume, while the right one is used to scroll through the operating menus. These are displayed on the impressive colour display and can be shown in various languages. In addition to the clearly labelled function buttons on the top of the device, all operating functions can also be conveniently controlled using the included remote control or from a compatible smartphone via the free ‘OKTIV’ app.

Dynamic sound with all the details

Despite its compact design, the CR-ST200S offers excellent sound and solid workmanship. A stereo speaker system with bass reflex tuning and an RMS amplifier output of 2 x 15 watts ensure detailed overall reproduction and a powerful and precise bass foundation. The sound can be optimised to suit individual listening preferences using the equaliser and separate bass/treble controls. In addition to the various radio platforms, other sources can also be played back from a mobile phone via Bluetooth audio streaming or MP3 files from a USB stick. There is even a mini jack input for connecting analogue sources and a headphone jack.

Considering its affordable price, the build quality of the Kenwood device can be rated as very good, and the 11-inch IPS colour display on the front is exceptionally high quality for this price range.
